About Us

River City Performing Arts has been serving the Decatur area for the past 27 years and has become known for its high standards of excellence in teaching the technique and skill of dance as well as giving its students true insight into the world of dance. RCPA takes pride in the achievements of their students and above all hopes to instill in their students confidence and self esteem.

RCPA is able to obtain this goal by insuring that all classes are taught by qualified and caring individuals. The studio offers a complete curriculum of classes in ballet, tap, jazz and modern for ages 3 to adult, offering a specialized program for  3-8 year olds.

​

Students at RCPA have won numerous awards at regional and national talent competitions, and have also been invited to perform for many different community events. They can also be seen performing with gymnastics teams, cheerleading squads, and ice skating teams and in talent shows throughout the area. We feel these achievements are excellent learning experiences for our young dancers. Achieving such goals as college scholarships and dance degrees, students of RCPA have gone on to pursue various careers in dance.
